AWARENESS RUN

Every year, 528,000 women are expected to be diagnosed with cervical cancer and every hour, 2 women in the EU are losing their lives as a result of cervical cancer.  But according to the latest EU Commission Report, less than 5% of the whole cancer control budget in the EU is allocated for prevention. Taking a step forward, for the second time at this year's congress in Vienna, ESGO organises the Awareness Run to raise awareness on early detection of cervical cancer and HPV vaccination programmes through a run activity to encourage a healthy life style, which directly affects the gynaecological cancer incidents.
